What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a state of mind in which suggestions are acted upon more powerfully than is possible under normal conditions. Consciously, you may not know why or how you are feeling or behaving a certain way, however, subconsciously you do. During hypnosis, the body and conscious mind are in a relaxed neutral state while the subconscious mind remains awake and receptive to suggestion.
You will know everything that is going on around you. While under hypnosis, you will not say or do anything that is against your ethical or moral principals. Contrary to what most people believe, a person under hypnosis need not fall asleep or lose touch with their surroundings. He or she is often able to recall everything that has happened during the session.
How can I benefit?
Many healthcare professionals have used hypnosis as a way to solve such problems as smoking cessation, insomnia, fears and phobias, concentration and memory, weight loss and control of pain and asthma. Hypnosis is a powerful way to help find the root cause of what is holding you back and provide you an opportunity to live your life to it’s fullest potential.
What does Hypnosis feel like?
Many people describe being hypnotized as a feeling of deep relaxation. Similar to the feeling of being very relaxed just before bedtime. You are always aware of everything that is going on around you, remember everything that is said and know that you are in control.
